Stewart Brings Out Swear Jar as He Rips VA

by Andrew Johnson

The latest developments in the Department of Veterans Affairs scandal prompted Jon Stewart to bring out his “Veterans Affairs F*@K-Ups” jar on Monday night as he tried to contain his personal anger with the department’s malpractice.

At first optimistic following Secretary Eric Shinseki’s congressional testimony, in which he said the incidents were “isolated,” Stewart’s mood quickly changed after learning of reports of evidence of similar secret waiting lists in eight other states.

“General Shinseki: By ‘isolated,’ you meant that the problem of inadequate veteran health care was isolated to veterans,” Stewart said.
