Priebus: Hillary’s the One ‘Playing Politics’ on Benghazi, Not Republicans

Hillary Clinton’s wish to not take part in investigations or debates over her role in the administration’s handling of the September 11, 2012, attacks in Benghazi because Republicans are “politicizing” it screams of hypocrisy, Reince Priebus argues.

“She continues to play politics — Hillary Clinton is politics 24/7, and this is no different,” he said on Fox News Sunday.

In an excerpt of her book, Hard Choices, released by Politico, Clinton said she will refuse to be “a part of a political slugfest” over the attacks and that “those who insist on politicizing the tragedy will have to do so without me.”

“Hillary has been playing politics with this issue from the very beginning, and now she’s launching a political defense, an organized political defense,” Priebus said on Fox News Sunday, pointing to the Clinton’s camp’s leak of the chapter on Benghazi as evidence. “She played a part in the White House’s cover-up of what this is all about in Benghazi.”
