There are still a lot of unanswered questions on the Benghazi attacks of 2012, Hillary Clinton says. “We’re doing the best we can to find out what happened,” she said Tuesday on CNN.
Although there have been a number of investigations of the events, she said, “I’m still looking for answers.” Clinton noted that the administration is hoping to find out who was behind the attacks and what their motivation was.
“It was, after all, the fog of war,” Clinton said. “But I’m absolutely convinced that the United States and all of our various agencies . . . is piecing together the best information we can find.”
Clinton’s own State Department conducted an internal investigation of the attack, the Accountability Review Board, but the secretary herself wasn’t interviewed.
