De Blasio’s New York: Mayor to Enjoy a Ten-Day Getaway

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is heading out of the Big Apple for a ten-day vacation to Italy, the longest vacation by any major in recent memory.

De Blasio, who has been in office for seven months, will make stops in Rome, Naples, Venice, and some smaller towns, according to the New York TimesFormer mayors Michael Bloomberg and Rudy Giuliani mostly enjoyed their leisure time with weekend getaways, rarely leaving the city for more than a few days per trip.  

The mayor will be paying for the trip himself, aides say.
