Huckabee: Obama’s Actions Make Him ‘Worthy of Being Impeached’

by Andrew Johnson

Former Arkansas Republican governor Mike Huckabee said President Obama’s executive overreach “absolutely” merits discussion about impeachment, but that impeaching the president would be unrealistic given Democratic control of the Senate.

“There’s no doubt that he has done plenty of things worthy of impeachment,” the Fox News host told an Iowa radio station. “From a governmental standpoint, you’re not going to see it accomplished with this Senate, but I think it is an important argument to make that there are a number of things that this president has done in the overuse of an executive power.”

Huckabee pointed to President Obama’s failing to enforce and implement his own policies, most notably Obamacare, and raised the president’s handling of the border crisis.
