The president, the press, and other malefactors

by Mona Charen

Need to Know this week delves into Indian TV (it’s a good thing), Canadian leadership (no, not an oxymoron), the vertiginous spectacle of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and India being more anti-Hamas than the American government, the American press not covering itself with glory in Gaza (I know, why even say it?), and the total depravity of China, among other topics. Jay reports from Salzburg. I like to call him our roving correspondent. I’m tremendously impressed at the way he hob nobs with the greats of classical music. The world is a mess, but we close with Beethoven, who lived in a tougher time than we do, and didn’t lose faith. Join us!
