Spend it if you’ve got it! Jeb Bush is currently a distant third nationally, in the middle of the pack in Iowa, fifth in New Hampshire, and either third or fourth in South Carolina, so it’s time for his SuperPAC, Right to Rise PAC, to unleash $24 million in advertising in key early primary states.
First up, “Real Results,” touting Bush’s job creation, tax cuts, vetoes, budget balancing, and school choice promotion. Jeb’s PAC will spend $6 million in Iowa, $12 million in New Hampshire, $4.7 million in South Carolina, and the remainder elsewhere.
If this doesn’t work, you have to wonder what will. Last cycle, dominance of the television airwaves helped Romney to victory. By April 2012, Romney and his allies spent $53 million on television advertising, compared to $27 million from his three Republican competitors combined.
