In last night’s debate Donald Trump said, “I’m the only one on the stage that said we should not go into Iraq.” On Meet the Press this morning, host Chuck Todd asked why there are no reports of his opposition to the war if he was so vocally opposed.
“I wasn’t a politician,” Trump responded. “So people didn’t write everything I said, I was a businessperson.”
“I was, as they say, a world-class businessperson,” he continued. “I built a great company, I employ thousands of people.”
Trump then said again, “The war in Iraq, it was a mistake . . . I was the only one that called it.”
