Erase Obamacare Centralized Control

by Wesley J. Smith

Repealing and replacing Obamacare into something different and better needs to be approached with meticulous care to ensure that its victims are not hurt. It is a job that should be done right, not fast.

But one thing can and should be done very quickly and without significant systemic disruption: Repeal most of the Obamacare centralized control regulatory coverage mandates.

Easing Obamacare’s regulatory oppression would ease our cultural controversies, end the government’s efforts to force religious institutions and businesses to violate their faith beliefs, and allow greater competition among insurance companies, which should lead to increased policy choices for purchasers, hopefully easing the cost crisis.

Such a course would also be a powerful early statement that the Obama regulatory autocracy has come to an end.
