Election ’02 Flash The Drawback


Republicans shouldn’t get too excited about the prospect of taking the Senate, though. As Byron York pointed out earlier today, a 50-50 Senate would be a lot worse for the GOP this time than it was in early 2001. There’s also the prospect of Lincoln Chafee (or other GOP Senators) flipping. And then there’s the burden of being seen as in charge of Washington without really being able to do much.
