Election Update From John Hood

Things took another good turn for the GOP here in North Carolina, where a Friday morning recount in an eastern county has given the Republicans another victory in the state house. The GOP now has a 61-59 majority in the previously Democratic chamber. The national count of legislatures doesn’t change, because we were already counting North Carolina as a “split control” state (with the Democrats retaining an edge in the state senate). But it’s another little piece of interesting news in the emerging GOP blowout.
