Putting Politics and Sex Aside

I am now about to do something completely uncharacteristic. It may be groundbreaking. I am going to say something nice about a woman in the Senate (I have been a little witchy about them in the past and promise to do so in the future.)

Saw a little of the House hearings on held American children abducted and taken to Saudi Arabia yesterday last night on beloved C-SPAN. Visitor to the House (where she once served), Arkansas Democrat Senator Blanche Lincoln gave a strong speech condemning the Saudis and the Bush administration for not doing more to have these girls returned. Her speech was almost entirely right-on. We wish her well–as well as the likes of Dan Burton, who has been a leader on the issue–and encourage more outrage.
