Two Invasion Options

Everybody is now in favor of invading Iraq. The only question is what kind of invasion. A U.S.BritishCoalition of the Willing invasion to topple Saddam and, one hopes, work toward changing the status quo in the Middle East, or an Franco-GermanU.N. invasion of peacekeepers and inspectors to preserve Saddam in power and maintain the current geo-political balance in the region. In other words, a pro-liberalization invasion or a pro-autocracy invasion, an invasion that increases American power or one that reduces it. The choice seems obvious.
