. . . on Manhattan’s Upper West Side this evening, the irrepressible Rev. Tim Keller began his sermon at about 7:30 P.M. His first line (I quote from memory): “Thanks for being here tonight; I can only guess that you are new to our country, and thus unfamilar with our national customs.” (In case anybody asks the obvious question: because the Redskins weren’t playing.)
