The ad had not been formally approved for airing and it did not appear on CNN's domestic broadcasts, although CPAN had submitted it for review. The group's ad campaign ran its course on Monday, and it didn't want to purchase additional time later in the week, says Mead. Last week, CNN's international division refused to run CPAN ads. "We're planning to go back on the air and we'll go back to CNN," says Mead. CPAN is currently developing a new ad in support of missile defense and may buy more time in July to coincide with the next national missile-defense intercept test. "The ad was under consideration. If they resubmit it, we'll consider it again," a Turner Broadcasting spokesman told NR.
