What we'd ask Bush and Gore tonight.

everal school districts around the country have severed their ties with the Boy Scouts, and others are considering it, because of the group's policy toward homosexuals. Do you think the Boy Scouts are intolerant? Or the school districts?"

"Both of you support bilingual education. Have the improved test scores in California, which abolished bilingual education, given you any reason to change your views?"

"Do you support treating gay and lesbian couples as married for the purpose of determining Social Security benefits? How about immigration law?"

"Two states — California in 1996 and Washington in 1998 — have voted in ballot initiatives to outlaw racial preferences in public employment, contracting, and university admissions. Would you back a federal version?"

"There is an effort underway to grant an amnesty to perhaps 2 million illegal aliens now residing in the United States. Do you endorse this?"

"What is the difference between a late-term abortion, in which a fetus is partially delivered before being aborted, and infanticide? As a follow-up, should the law protect fetuses that are fully delivered? The leading abortion-rights group opposes that idea."

"Would you support a federal law requiring minor-age children to receive the consent of a parent or guardian before they can have an abortion, assuming the law included a judicial bypass for special cases?"

"Louis Farrakhan led the Million Family March in Washington, D.C. yesterday. Some organizations have branded him an anti-Semite. Do you agree with them?"

"Was Bill Clinton one of the greatest presidents ever?"

"Mr. Vice President, do you regret your vote confirming Antonin Scalia to the United States Supreme Court?"
