Weiner: 'Legislative Whack-A-Mole'   [Robert Costa]

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D., N.Y.) tells me that "most Democrats are in a place where they are trying to make this work... An effort was made to accommodate people who had concerns about abortion... This is like 'legislative whack-a-mole' as we try to address all concerns... President Obama has to reassure us that this is an effort that will result in actual legislation being passed... That he will go to bat for members making tough votes and make sure that if this passes the House, that it will then pass in the Senate... The specter of the energy bill still looms."
