There's your water cooler talk for the next few days. You just lost the heartland, Senator Kerry. You can thank Elizabeth Edwards for that.
UPDATE: Kerry apparently felt he had to issue a statement about this:
"I love my daughters. They love their daughter. I was trying to say something positive about the way strong families deal with this issue."
This mealy-mouthed excuse is not going to cut it. There wasn't even the usual, "I apologize if my statement was misinterpreted" stuff.
