Well, with the new name up - the ultra-simple, honoring-our-roots ‘TKS’ — it seems to be a good time to mention one or two other changes around here.

Later this year, I will be moving to Ankara, Turkey — a dramatic life change spurred by Mrs. KerrySpot’s career path and echoed by my interest in doing something a bit new and different, expanding my horizons as a reporter and a writer beyond the ups and downs of American politics.

Kathryn and Rich — editors and leaders without equal — have agreed to keep me writing TKS after the move, and are giving me the extraordinary opportunity to share this whole experience with NRO readers.

TKS will be... well, just like the Kerry Spot, except covering a wider range of topics than the presidential race. And it will (eventually, date to be determined) be based in Ankara, with reports from everyplace I visit over the coming months and years - Israel, Lebanon, England, back to Washington and New York periodically.

I hope that on TKS you get the same insight, humor, fresh reporting and unique analysis that you got from the Kerry Spot during this year’s presidential campaign.

Of course, the upcoming foreign headquarters doesn’t mean I’m going to ignore American politics. In particular, until my departure, I aim to continue the in-depth coverage of the current state of the Democratic party, and their debate between the path to the center and the preferences of their liberal grassroots. As well as the RatherGate report and any other big issues, events, and news that come down the path...
