David Mamet, Heretic

In response to my column today:

Dear Jonah,The first sentence of the last para, “Mamet has committed the sin of free-thinking in a world that defines it as “ideological rigidity” while dubbing conformity “diversity.”” is as perfect a description of Liberal Fascism’s doublespeak as I’ve ever read.I’m only part way through the book, but I’ve already had several “Eureka” type moments as you crystallize things in ways I’ve long suspected but haven’t been able to document. I have been referring to American liberal policies as “Low Grade Communism” since the late ’70s, and it is wonderful to see that I was not off-base after all.Sincerely and gratefully,[Name Withheld]
