Exhibit A. why the GOP lost: Former Republican Chris Lee and his Craigslist dalliances:
And Exhibit B: In 2010, South Carolina’s joke-of-a-candidate, Alvin Greene, lost to incumbent Republican Jim DeMint 63% to 28%. In New York, where the state GOP fielded two legitimate candidates to take on Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, lost 67% to 33% and 63% to 35%. Great news. New York’s GOP candidates are slightly more popular with voters on a percentage basis than the nobody out of South Carolina.
You see a pattern here? There is no functional state GOP in New York.
