Obama Creates Website to Report Attacks

So, Mr.-Above-the-Political-Fray has launched a new website, AttackWatch.com. You can read about it in the email below. But if you really want to laugh go to twitter and search for #attackwatch or @attackwatch to find some of the funnier Twitter posts from conservatives in recent memory. And from the e-mail below, the whole endeavor looks to be just another fundraising/e-marketing ploy. Good luck with that.

Greg –

If you’re someone who cares about seeing a campaign focused on substance between now and November 2012, I need you to become a part of one of our most important teams.

It’s called AttackWatch.com, and it launches today.

Here’s the deal: We all remember the birth certificate smear, the GOP’s barrage of lies about the Affordable Care Act, and the string of other phony attacks on President Obama that we’ve seen over the past few years.

There are a lot of folks on the other side who are chomping at the bit to distort the President’s record. It’s not a question of if the next big lie will come, just when — and what we’re prepared to do about it.

AttackWatch.com is exactly what it sounds like: a resource that allows us to nip these attacks in the bud before they show up on the airwaves and in emails — and then fight back with the truth.

By signing up, you’ll be on the front lines — you’ll hear about false claims as soon as they come up, and we’ll count on you to spread the truth to your friends and personal networks and let us know about new smears whenever you hear them.

Will you sign up now to be a part of AttackWatch.com?

Yes, I want to be on the team that fights back.

Not right now, but I’ll donate $15 to fund the 2012 campaign and support this work.

I remember the smears from 2008 well, and I’m sure you do, too.

They didn’t just attack Barack Obama and Joe Biden. They went after everything this movement is built on, and everyone who supports it.

This time, they’re not just out to personally attack the President — they’re also out to mislead Americans about the record of accomplishments that he’s compiled. Just the other day, a Republican financier actually quoted Saddam Hussein in telling a group of millionaire donors that defeating President Obama will be “the mother of all wars.”

We’re launching AttackWatch.com today to make sure we’re ready for the attacks we know are coming — and armed with the ability to fight back quickly.

Sign up for AttackWatch.com now, and let’s get the facts out:

Messina

Jim Messina should go back to making records with Kenny Loggins.

I am tempted to report stories like the ones below to Obama's site -- in fact it would be great if thousands of the Obama-opposition flooded the site with stuff like this:

- FOX reports that WH is involved in Solyndra scandal

- pundits who say the result of the NY-9 election was due to Obama's unpopularity

- financial reports that criticize Obama's jobs plan and the accounting gimmicks that will pay for it

- Gallup polls showing Obama losing to Republicans

- and everything else that happens where someone makes a legitimate criticism of Obama regarding a topic that he doesn't want to talk about!

"Just the other day, a Republican financier actually quoted Saddam Hussein in telling a group of millionaire donors that defeating President Obama will be 'the mother of all wars.'"

Really? REALLY?

(Oh, and it's "champing" at the bit, Jim.)

What's wrong with the President having a site that contains the facts about Republican lies?

Do the clowns REALLY think that they can spread lies about birth certificates and a man's religion, but he isn't allowed to correct it?

Stop lying. You pretend to be Christians. If you REALLY are, stop bearing false witness in your lust for power.

By the way, real nice making me type an ad slogan to post. One more example of how the profit motive is a race to the bottom.

Maybe we're not Christians. Maybe we're muslims where lying for Allah is the right thing to do. Ever think of that dude?

And the bamster hasn't been allowed to correct the birth certificate and religion kerfluffle? So all the enablers and sycophants in the media carrying his water and sheltering him from criticism don't count as correctives? My goodness man, the one has the ability (and he uses it and uses it and uses it) to commandeer the airwaves at any time to deliver a "major" speech, a campaign speech or a press conference where he ducks and weaves, shucks and jives.

You're funny.

Let me see now. Republicans are spreading lies about Obama's birth certificate. Gee, I wasn't aware that Hillary Clinton and her campaign team had changed parties. It was, you see, Hillary etal who cooked that charge up. In terms of the "Republicans" who pursued it, they were roundly rejected by the entire Republican Party leadership and they were uniformly branded as kooks by right of center blogs.

A week later and the site is still there, but with no new content since it launched (it's remarkably uninformative overall -- seems like a site for stupid people who don't like to read?)

It appears this operation was Dead On Arrival -- I bet the site quietly disappears before the end of the year (to be relaunched in 2012! Because the only difference between a great idea and a really terrible one is "communications problems." If they just "explain it better" next time, everyone will agree it is lovely! There is no reason to change direction! Everything is working out according to plan! Obama is the smartest man on earth! Trust him! Love him! Pass his bill right away!!)
