What’s Going on With Current TV and Keith Olbermann?

Olbermann was noticeable absent last night from Current TV’s Iowa caucus coverage and tweeted this to his followers:

Although earlier in the day, Olbermann tweeted that he would be on the air Tuesday.

Olbermann denied he was disgruntled with Current, but it really makes no sense that Olbermann wouldn’t be part of their election coverage. Something is up methinks.

Update via The Hollywood Reporter, Olbermann isn’t happy:

The tension between Keith Olbermann and Current management has boiled over as Olbermann sits out GOP primary coverage in the wake of technical difficulties on his New York-based Countdown, which bowed on the channel last June after Olbermann’s departure from MSNBC.

“I was not given a legitimate opportunity to host under acceptable conditions,” Olbermann said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. “They know it and we know it. Telling half the story is wrong.”

Sounds like he’s mad that the technical difficulties on his set haven’t been fixed, no?
