There’s a Twitter “war” between Olbermann, Andrew Breitbart, and Big Journalism’s Dana Loesch over this clip from Countdown with Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas. Here’s the text of Markos’ statement that’s set everyone off:
“They [Occupy Wall Street supporters] can be as filthy and they can rape people — if you want to make stuff up —but the fact is nobody really cares about it because that message isn’t about the messenger, it’s not about who’s delivering a message, but it’s about the message itself which really resonates at a very core emotional level with people who are suffering in this economy,” Moulitsas told Olbermann.
“Nobody really cares about” the filth, rapes, and assaults? Disgusting commentary. Olbermann is trying to defend it by saying that the rapes and assaults were not perpetrated by those in the Occupy movement, but by outsiders.
Well, I guess this is the type of analysis you get when your network is owned by Al “Second Chakra” Gore.
And yet, the occupy leaders protected and hide the perpetrators. Going so far as to discourage victims from reporting the rapes to police. Hardly the actions one would expect if the perpetrators were interlopers. If outsiders, you don't shield them, you turn them over to the police.
