NRO’s MSM watchdog.

Just Another Case of Selective Reporting

Text

Last week the number of lives lost in the war in Afghanistan reached 2,000. Backtrack seven years to 2005 when the same number was reached in Iraq and a sad, stark contrast becomes apparent. Coverage for the 2,000 mark in Iraq took ABC, NBC, PBS, and MSNBC by storm. Tim Graham of NewsBusters found that they devoted numerous time slots to the story. Now, those same networks ignore the same milestone when it’s reached in Afghanistan. The only news outlet to cover the story was CBS. Regardless of the current political climate in the United States, networks should pay respect and devote time to our armed forces keeping our nation safe.

See the CBS coverage here.
