Roger Ebert: Eastwood Speech was ‘Pathetic’ and ‘Sad’
No, Roger, it wasn’t.
Do you know what it was — and this might be difficult to grasp for someone who makes his living digesting the fake — it was real. And since nothing in politics is real anymore, it looked strange.
Eastwood reminded me a lot of my dad, who died last year. Was Eastwood in his prime? No. But, God willing, we’re all able to do what he Clint did when we’re his age.
As for the DNC, I look forward to President Obama’s answer to Clint Eastwood: Sandra Fluke. I’m sure Dems will love her speech to an empty uterus.
