More online journalists than print journalists behind bars


Blogging is becoming increasingly dangerous.

Agence France Presse (AFP) reports that more online journalists are now jailed around the world than journalists from any other medium, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). In its annual census of imprisoned journalists, the CPJ said that as of December 1, a total of 125 journalists were behind bars.
