Obama’s website quietly removes Hamas supporter

A page managed by Hatem El-Hady, a fundraiser for the Palestinian terror group Hamas, was suddenly removed from the Obama campaign’s official website yesterday after it was highlighted by Charles Johnson’s Little Green Footballs website.

El-Hady is the former chairman of an Islamic “charity” closed by the U.S. government in 2006 for terrorist fundraising.

As recently as yesterday lunchtime, one of the three “friends” listed by El-Hady on the site was Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle.

“When someone is listed as a ‘friend,’ it means they specifically chose it. In other words, Michelle Obama’s name isn’t there because El-Hady put it there – it’s there because she chose to be listed as his friend, “ said Johnson.

“There’s a lot of talk about William Ayers and his connections to Obama, but please note that in El-Hady we have someone who is apparently connected with Hamas – not decades ago, but as recently as 2006,” added Johnson.

Meanwhile Obama has recruited yet another anti-Israel advisor, Joseph Cirincione, to his team, reports Ed Lasky and Gabriel Schoenfeld. (For more on Obama’s advisors, see here.)
