Time for a New Majority Leader

I’m with the editors (in fact, slightly ahead of them) in believing that it is time for Tom DeLay to step aside and allow the election of a new House Majority Leader to go forward. Personally, I think conservatives who are disappointed with the GOP’s fiscal record and looking for a change should think about Republican Study Committee Chairman Mike Pence. I was already a fan of the man behind Operation Offset, and then I read this Q&A with Pence (via Instapundit) in which he comments on the sorry state of small-government conservatism in Congress. Conservatives who are tired of big-spending Republicans should start throwing some serious weight behind this guy.
