Students at Allameh Tabatai University are demonstrating against the regime. There were reportedly more than a thousand of them, demanding the release of their fellow students, rounded up in the recent crackdowns. If you look at some of the English writing on the posters, you’ll see that the word “fascist” tends to recur. Perhaps those who have been critical of the use of “Islamofascism” should race over to Tehran and explain to the students that they must avoid such loaded, misleading language. Surely the University has a speech code?
