While we were watching the House, Wisconsin was tying a bow on its statewide canvass. Judge Prosser has officially won, leading Kloppenburg by 7,316 votes. But even though it’s official, it’s not official official:
A statewide canvass of vote totals of the state’s 72 counties finalized Friday afternoon has Prosser beating Kloppenburg, an assistant attorney general, by 7,316 votes. The final canvass was completed 10 days after the election.
The deadline for calling for a recount is 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The margin is within the limit that would allow Kloppenburg to request a free, statewide recount.
