John McCain criticized U.N. ambassador Susan Rice again today, saying that she needed to publicly announce her rejection of the remarks she made on the Sunday shows days after the attacks.
Rice, McCain said on Face the Nation, “has a lot of explaining to do, and I’m curious why she has not repudiated those remarks.
McCain did say, however, that “all nominees” deserved “the benefit of a hearing process.”
“Maybe she [Rice] could start out by publicly coming back on this show,” McCain suggested, “and saying, ‘I was wrong. I gave the wrong information on your show some several weeks ago.’ That might be a beginning.”
