Yesterday, 58-year-old Ki Suk Han of Queens was killed when an unknown assailant pushed him off of a Manhattan subway platform right into the path of an oncoming “Q” train.
And today’s New York Post ran a photo of Mr. Han — on the cover — desperately trying to escape from the oncoming train.
It seems the Post had a freelance photographer, R. Umar Abbasi, who just happened to be on the platform when the murder occurred. Abbasi claims he was trying to get the conductor’s attention by using the flash on his camera.
Regardless of Abbasi’s action or lack thereof, the New York Post has no business running the photo. It’s disgusting.
