Now that President Obama is “passing out ambassadorships” — it was recently reported that Caroline Kennedy will be the next ambassador to Japan — David Letterman asked Rachel Maddow what he had to do to get the Canadian gig. Her suggestion: Raise a lot of money for the president.
Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert officially endorsed his sister, Elizabeth Colbert Busch, in next month’s special election in South Carolina against Republican Mark Sanford. He got started right away, asking if he could be on her poster-making committee, sprinkles and all.
During his monologue, Jay Leno joked about the real reason President Obama is attending the dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Texas later this month: to find more things to blame on his predecessor.
