That’s the message actress Margaret Colin — you may remember her from Independence Day — delivers in a new video.
She explains that, under the Reproductive Health Act Governor Cuomo is currently pushing, a man who punches a woman in the stomach to try to kill an unborn child cannot be charged with murder. “Even if she is eight and a half months pregnant.”
“I’m sorry, Governor Cuomo, that’s just wrong,” Colin says. “If you want to protect women from violence, Governor, don’t put us at greater risk of it.”
Margaret Colin has long been a spokeswoman with Feminists for Life, and her mother was a longtime pro-life activist in New York State, in the tradition of the suffragettes, who were, of course, opposed to abortion.
