Friends of Boston Marathon Bomber Indicted for Obstruction of Justice
According to the Boston Globe, a federal grand jury has indicted two friends of one of the alleged Boston Marathon bombers for obstruction of justice. The charges came after authorities learned the friends removed items from the younger Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s college dormitory room after the explosions.
Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev, both 19, enrolled at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with Tsarnaev in 2011. Tazhayakov was suspended from the school pending the outcome of the case, while Kadyrbayev was no longer enrolled at the time of the bombing. The two Kazakh nationals shared a New Bedford, Mass. apartment.
