Republican efforts to defund Obamacare were a bridge too far, Senator Bob Corker said Sunday morning.
“I think, you know, look, Republicans started off in a place that was an overreach,” Corker said on Fox News Sunday. “To try to change a law that was central to the president’s agenda was not something that was achievable. A delay, maybe, other kinds of things, maybe.”
Corker said that, in return, Democrats were coming close to “being one tick too cute” in pressing their advantage in negotiations in an effort to replace the sequester.
