Alec Baldwin has been fired by MSNBC.
According to the New York Post, his new Friday-night talk show, Up Late with Alec Baldwin, has been canceled thanks to the famously choleric star hurling anti-gay comments at a photographer in New York City on November 15. MSNBC suspended the show the same day.
His confrontation with the paparazzo wasn’t the only problem. Baldwin had a record of diva-like behavior: At one point, he insisted that he be given an individual makeup room used by a cancer patient who’s allergic to hairspray.
“I don’t give a f *** if she has cancer or not, I want that f ***ing makeup room,” Baldwin reportedly yelled when told he couldn’t have the room.
The show’s ratings were weak, with the final show drawing only 395,000 viewers. A spokesman for Baldwin confirmed to the Post that his show would not be returning.
