Heavenly Chocolate: Pope Francis Gets Life-Sized Replica
From the papal conclave to a papal confection, Pope Francis has had an eventful year. On Wednesday, he was presented with a life-sized chocolate statue of himself.
The replica was made from a 1.5-ton block of Guatemalan chocolate, carved over the course of four months by renowned chocolate sculptor Mirco della Vecchia and his students. Della Vecchia said he will donate the same amount of chocolate to the charitable arm of the Catholic Church, according to the Daily News.
