Sebelius Praises 'Galifianakis Bump,' Says Her Adult Sons Get Their News from Humor Website
President Obama’s Between Two Ferns interview with Zach Galifianakis was the best way to inform some demographic groups about Obamacare, including Kathleen Sebelius’s “two thirty-something sons,” apparently.
“We’re just trying to meet people where they are and give them real-life examples and in some cases, make them laugh,” the Health and Human Services secretary told HuffPost Live on Monday. “As a mother of two thirty-something sons, I know that they’re more likely to get their information on Funny or Die than network TV.”
Sebelius credited the surge in traffic to HealthCare.gov to “the Galifianakis bump” following the president’s quirky interview with the actor, as well as other celebrity outreach efforts, including athletes and mothers of celebrities urging enrollment.
