Well, not TV, but YouTube. It’s from FIRE, it’s only 15 minutes, and it is well worth your time. The short documentary details the University of Delaware’s shocking (but thankfully short-lived) residence hall thought-reform program. As with so many things, it is much more dramatic to see students talk about their experiences than it is to read even well-written descriptions in newspapers or blog posts. Prepare to be appalled — and amused — by a program that combined the sinister (attempted government control over the hearts and minds of its citizens) with the silly (the means of that control included some of the strangest politically correct exercises I’ve ever seen).
