The Clarion-Ledger of Mississippi reports that Fifth Circuit nominee Michael Wallace has decided to ask President Bush not to renominate him. (HT: How Appealing.) Given the Democratic takeover of the Senate, this is not a surprising development, but a story that demands further scrutiny is the ABA’s thoroughly scandalous “not qualified” rating of Wallace. I have previously addressed this matter in the series of posts linked here and in the summary in my National Review magazine article here (last seven paragraphs), but there is more to document. Stay tuned.
