NAS Supports AzCRI

That is, the National Association of Scholars has come out in favor of the Ward Connerly-led Arizona Civil Rights Initiative, whereby voters in that state this fall can ban preferences based on race, ethnicity, and sex in state and local employment, contracting, and education, including higher education. Good for NAS. The Center for Equal Opportunity, by the way, published studies a couple of years ago that documented the heavy weight given race and ethnicity in state-law-school admissions there. Likewise, the Phoenix-based Goldwater Institute has documented other racial preferences in this study.
