The Future of Higher Education Today

by Anne D. Neal

With all the recent chatter about higher-education costs and whether they are going down or going up, and whether students are learning anything at all, we’re deeply in need of a national conversation about higher-education reform. That’s exactly what we’re having. I’m writing this from Philadelphia, where I’m about to kick off the ATHENA conference; the whole thing will be blogged live, so you can follow along here. Scheduled speakers include Peter Berkowitz, James Kurth, and, of course, many trustees, professors, policymakers, and interested alumni in the audience. The nation needs this conversation: Follow, and then join in.
