A Little More Efficiency

Tighter budgets are going to lead to innovations — some of them at community colleges. In North Carolina, community colleges are changing the way that the state reimburses their classes — differentiating between costly classes and cheaper ones, as Duke Cheston describes on the Pope Center site today. A small step, but if community colleges are to live up to rising expectations, they need to be run more efficiently.
