Another Campus Flyer Flap

Text

At Princeton Theological Seminary, the student who put up flyers on African-American abortions as an effect of racism was not, to my knowledge, punished or prohibited from doing so, although the seminary held an angry diversity vigil to rehearse racial grievances. But in a similar situation at Sinclair Community College in Ohio, a student has been banned from distributing literature that included information about how birth control and abortion contribute to the risk of breast cancer. As FIRE reports, the college “bans all distribution of literature on vast areas of campus.” FIRE is urging Sinclair Community College to revise its policies to align with the First Amendment.
