A Dean’s Perspective on Core Curriculum, New Media

In this week’s episode of InsideAcademia.tv, host Andy Nash speaks with Christian Brady, dean of the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University.

This is a unique interview for us, as we’re speaking with someone firmly entrenched within the “academic echo chamber,” and so this episode is particularly illuminating because I think Brady’s perspective is likely to be similar to many of the dons leading peer institutions.

Andy and Brady speak on life as a dean at a major research university, differing perspectives on core curriculum, and conflicting takes on the impact of social media among students.
