Charter schools have their downsides. A news article describes how parents in affluent New Jersey suburbs are having to fight the intrusion of charter schools in their area, where the public education is fairly outstanding and there are virtually no minorities stuck in underperforming institutions. It turns out that certain parents want specialized charter schools to provide a tailor-made education for their children at taxpayer expense, while draining money from the regular schools. The particular proposed charter mentioned in the article is a Mandarin-immersion school, being pushed in the name of globalism. There are also, of course, dozens of Islamic-themed charter schools throughout the country, run by an organization headed by a Turkish Islamist nationalist named Fethullah Gulen. Charter schools can be used to advance the disuniting of America and Americans are funding it.
