Universities Forced to Provide Birth Control

The Catholic League has denounced the Obama administration’s recent announcement that it will require non-church religious institutions, such as universities and hospitals, to offer sterilization and birth-control services, including abortifacients.

The League calls the language of the administration’s edict “Orwellian” and says it shows “contempt for the First Amendment and plain studipity.”

Well then, Catholic League (which I will graciously suppose includes Catholic college administrators among its members). show some gumption and refuse to comply!

Or, should I mention by name the numerous graduates of Catholic colleges and exclusive prep academies, from the relatively humble to the most prestigious, whose graduates have gone on to be thoroughly anti-Catholic in their careers as elected officials, not because they have lost the faith (so they say) or have personal issues (such as Maureen Dowd), but because that's where the money is, and because that's how the inter-generational caste system is maintained? May I begin with Andrew Cuomo and Nancy Pelosi?

Or, the Catholics can meekly roll over and obey. Fine; but at long as you're at it, you can simplify your course offering by eliminating references to Ghandi, MLK, ...
