A Famous University With a Faculty Composed of Adults and Spoiled Children

Economics professor William Anderson is writing about Duke, although most universities have the split between professors who take scholarly work seriously and those who use their positions to beat the drums for their ideological causes. He covers the ugly events of the lacrosse case and concludes with the recent outrage over a study finding that black students are apt to gravitate away from hard majors and into soft ones. Whether the research is accurate or not is beside the point: Hurt feelings are the trump card.
